Randy Wright has returned to Harbour Air.
Less than two months after he left the company to join his father's Oak Bay Marine Group as chief executive, Wright has returned to a job he held for 12 years.
Harbour Air chief executive Greg McDougall said Wright will resume his role as senior vice president in charge of corporate development. Wright did not return calls Wednesday.
Wright had joined Oak Bay Marine Group to take over from to his father, Bob Wright. The 82-year-old senior Wright wanted to back away from daily operation of the 50-year-old business he founded, which runs 24 facilities, including fishing resorts in three countries.
When he announced his son was taking over as chief executive in September, Bob Wright dismissed rumours of a rift between the two as "typical family back-and-forth."
Both said they had long ago buried the hatchet.
