The west side of the Janion building, built in 1891, is getting an addition as Vancouver’s Reliance Properties converts the once-unused building at 1612-1614 Store St. into a condominium development with micro-lofts.
Some buyers were so excited about the project that they camped out overnight for a chance to buy units, which started at $110,000.
Reliance said it expects the project of 100-plus units to be complete in fall 2015. The finished project will include social rooms, a rooftop deck, kayak storage, workshop and gym.
