Software developer Redbrick has acquired Brazil-based DeskMetrics, a desktop software analytics technology company.

Software developer Redbrick has acquired Brazil-based DeskMetrics, a desktop software analytics technology company.

The deal immediately broadens Redbrick’s software products, and has the company preparing to move into a larger office space this summer to accommodate more employees.

“Our mission at Redbrick is to provide tools that enable developers to build more robust software. We are thrilled about [this] announcement, as it signifies an important next step in our growth and a natural progression for the Redbrick product line," said Tobyn Sowden, Redbrick’s chief executive.

Redbrick develops analytic tools that give software developers the ability to determine the effectiveness of their products. The five-year-old firm has doubled in size in the last three years and now has 36 employees, with more on the way.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition means all DeskMetrics assets will be included under the Redbrick umbrella, and comprise a core part of its product line.
