Bombardier gets order for 6 Learjet 75s; contract has nominal value of US$81M

MONTREAL - Bombardier Aerospace has received a new order for six Learjet 75 business jets.

The company (TSX:BBD.B) said Thursday the sale to the unidentified buyer is valued at about US$81 million based on the list price for typically equipped aircraft.

The Learjet 75, a smaller version of the Learjet 85, is capable of flying more than 3,700 kilometres non-stop.

The announcement followed a spate of pre-Christmas deals including an announcement last Friday of a US$293-million order for five Global 6000 business jets from an existing customer which it also did not name.

Earlier in the week it won a firm order for 10 larger CSeries aircraft from airBaltic, plus an option to buy an additional 10 planes. And an unidentified airline based in the Americas signed a letter of intent for up to 30 CS100 planes, worth up to US$2.08 billion.
