HMCS Winnipeg arrived in Esquimalt following a six and a half month deployment.  The ship spent two months as part of a NATO squadron fighting piracy in the Gulf of Aden and took part in two major international military exercises.  Master Corporal David Tillotson, waves a no pirates flag above the HMCS Winnipeg, from the Sea King helicopter 443 Squadron, that took part in the mission.  Tillotson was awarded a commendation from the Chief of Defense Staff for his work on the missions.  HMCS Winnipeg arrived in Victoria, B.C. August  21, 2009.
