Twilight fans have been running off their feet to catch a glimpse of New Moon stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

New Moon, the second book in the Twilight series, is being shot at locations across British Columbia and the Twilight fansites and Twitter networkers are actively stalking the production and broadcasting locations as they become known.

Michele Danielov has staked out two New Moon locations hoping for a peek at the stars.

When a friend called to say that the New Moon shoot had set up at Minnekhada Regional Park in Coquitlam, she didn't hesitate.

"I went down there during the day, but it was all blocked off," said the 37-year-old accountant. Although no active filming is taking place there now, Danielov plans to return to the park.

"The trucks are still there so they will for sure be coming back," she said.

On Friday Danielov spotted another film crew working in Pitt Meadows, by chance as she was driving by and returned that night with a friend

"On both sites, they brilliantly located them so you can't see anything," she said. "It's surrounded by trees."

Danielov got into Twilight after borrowing the book from her teen babysitter. She saw the Twilight movie five times in the theatre.

Pattinson sightings have been few as he is not showing up at most location shoots so far. Twilight fan sites are speculating that his scenes are not yet filming as his character Edward Cullen appears mainly in the beginning and the end of the film, but is absent through much of the main storyline.

Stewart and Lautner have been sighted on location at Tofino near Long Beach, Pitt Meadows and Port Coquitlam.

Lautner posed for pictures with a handful of students from Ucluelet secondary who had braved the rain for a chance to see their idols. Most of the actors and equipment were concealed under a group of grey tents on the beach at Pacific Rim National Park Reserve.

Stewart and Lautner were seen having lunch at the Port Coquitlam Earl's Restaurant soon after shooting started. When Stewart left the table to have a cigarette outside, Lautner followed and stood with her in the cold drizzle leading to fan speculation of a romantic involvement between the teen actors.

They were seen together later that same day after shooting had wrapped walking in downtown Vancouver near the corner of Burrard and Robson, further igniting fans' speculation.

Pattinson attended The Juno Awards Sunday night and is reportedly friendly with fans, even giving a hug to a waitress who served him at Azia Restaurant in Downtown Vancouver, according to Danielov.

The Wolf Pack, the young first nations actors cast to play the La Push first nations gang of Stephenie Meyer's novel New Moon, have been extensively photographed on the streets of Vancouver over the past few days. Photographs of Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz and Kiowa Gordon are on laineygossip.com and links to them are proliferating on Twilight fan sites.
