We on the board of Victoria Crime Stoppers Association share the hope that the killer of Lindsay Buziak will be found and brought to justice. Crime Stoppers has contributed to the efforts of the police by producing and distributing a re-enactment and by encouraging calls to our anonymous tips line.
The family of the victim has now announced, for a limited time, their own reward offer. The name of Crime Stoppers frequently appears in media reports that refer also to the family's offer. To avoid confusion, we wish to point out that the terms of reference for the family's reward, and for the reward offered to anonymous callers to Crime Stoppers, are different.
To be eligible for the $100,000 reward offered by Lindsay Buziak's family, a person must provide information directly to the police, leading to an eventual conviction. If someone wishes to provide information anonymously, he or she can call Crime Stoppers anytime at 1-800-222-8477, or leave a web tip at victoriacrimestoppers.com. If that information leads to an arrest, the caller may be eligible for a reward paid by Crime Stoppers of up to $2,000, paid in a way that will allow the caller to retain his or her anonymity.
